We're excited to announce the early-access launch of WaveSimPro Cloud — Rayfos's commercial implementation based on the Modified Born Series (MBS) as a fully managed cloud simulation service.
WaveSimPro Cloud brings large-scale MBS simulations to a managed cloud platform accessible directly from a web GUI, Python or MATLAB scripting.
How does WaveSimPro Cloud relate to WaveSim?
WaveSimPro Cloud shares its scientific foundation — the Modified Born Series (MBS) method — with the open-source WaveSim library, but is built on a separate, performance-optimised codebase that delivers the speed and memory efficiency needed for large-scale 3D problems.
You get the same underlying method, combined with managed cloud infrastructure, operational reliability, and commercial support.
🔹No software to install: Skip the local setup and infrastructure. Simulations run on RayFos-managed cloud compute resources, enabling large-scale wave propagation problems to be solved directly from your browser.
🔹 Scale beyond local hardware: Run simulations on Rayfos's high-performance GPU and CPU cloud infrastructure, offering fast compute and high memory for large 3D problems.
🔹 Even faster, more efficient: Executes Modified Born Series (MBS) simulations considerably faster and with a smaller memory footprint than the open-source WaveSim library, making large Helmholtz and Maxwell problems practical to run.
🔹 Commercial support: Benefit from ongoing updates, technical support, and a continuously improving platform backed by Rayfos.
Web-GUI Access
🔹 Easy access to MBS through a browser-based GUI: A full graphical interface for the Modified Born Series method — open a browser, sign in, and start simulating.
🔹 Set up, run, and visualise your simulation: Create and configure models and sources through the GUI, or import them from standard CAD, photonics, and scientific formats. Add monitors, launch simulations, and inspect results interactively using built-in 2D and 3D visualization tools.
Scripting Access
🔹 Run simulations directly from Python/MATLAB: Define your simulation locally, call simulate(...), and the computation runs in the cloud. Results are returned as standard arrays, making integration with existing workflows straightforward.
🔹 Visualize your results in the web-GUI: Inspect simulation outputs using built-in 2D and 3D visualization tools without writing custom plotting code.
🔹 Open-source starter kit included: Get started quickly with runnable Helmholtz and Maxwell examples, along with lightweight helper utilities in the wavesimpro starter kit. A similar MATLAB starter kit is coming soon.
🔹 Minimal local setup required: No GPU needed, no large external dependencies (e.g. CUDA), or dependency management required. Authenticate with an API key and run simulations directly from Python or MATLAB.
